Sesuai dengan permendikbud No. 7 tahun 2020 tentang Pendirian, Perubahan, Pembubaran Perguruan Tinggi Negeri, dan Pendirian, Perubahan, Pencabutan Izin Perguruan Tinggi Swasta, dipersyaratkan bahwa perguruan Tinggi Swasta atau disebut PTS adalah pembentukan Politeknik dilakukan oleh Badan Penyelenggara berbadan hukum yang berprinsip nirlaba, dimana Badan Pennyelenggara tersebut merupakan yayasan yang didirikan sesuai dengan ketentuan pada peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku, oleh karena itu, sebagai Badan Penyelenggara pendirian Politeknik Idi tersebut adalah “Yayasan Ie Dhit Maju Bersama”. Yayasan ini didirikan pada tanggal 28 Maret 2023 disahkan melalui akta notaris nomor 38,.-Tanggal 28 bulan Maret tahun 2023, yang juga sudah memenuhi persyaratan yang diamanatkan dalam UU Nomor 28 Tahun 2004 tentang Yayasan.
